Cloudy water is usually caused by poor filtration, imbalanced chemistry, or fine particles that the filter cannot catch. In Spring’s heat and pollen season it can appear quickly.
Common Causes
- Low or high pH and alkalinity
- Insufficient free chlorine
- Dirty or undersized filter
- Algae starting to form
- High total dissolved solids or phosphates
How We Fix It
We test thoroughly, adjust chemistry, clean or backwash the filter, and use clarifiers or floc when appropriate. Most mild cases clear within a day or two of proper treatment.
